About Us
At Andurax, we’re building India’s first private re-entry vehicle designed to fly to space, carry experiments and payloads, and return them safely to Earth. We’re here to make space not just a destination, but a dependable, repeatable extension of Earth for industries that need it most. We believe the future of space isn’t just about going farther, it’s also about coming back safer. By building a platform that can fly frequently, recover gently, and serve a wide range of commercial and defence needs, we’re opening doors to a space-powered industrial future. As part of our growing team, you will gain direct experience working with systems that power real engines and flight platforms.
Role Overview
As an Avionics Intern, you will assist in the development, testing, and integration of embedded electronics for both spacecraft engine ground testing systems and onboard avionics for flight systems. You’ll support the design, testing, and integration of systems ranging from flight computers and sensor networks to telemetry links and actuator control circuits. This role is hands-on and test-driven, offering direct exposure to engine ground test instrumentation and onboard avionics for free-flight campaigns.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design and implementation of DAQ systems for pressure, temperature, strain, load, and flow sensors
Support integration of signal conditioning circuits (filters, isolators, amplifiers) and ADC interfaces (SPI/I2C/UART)
Develop and debug safety logic systems and help in firmware development and interfacing of ground and onboard systems
Participate in the development of onboard avionics systems for data logging, telemetry, guidance and navigation and actuator control
Assist in wiring, PCB prototyping, and field testing during subsystem and system level trials
Work with the team to design dashboards and scripts for real-time data visualization and system health monitoring
Requirements
B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation or related fields
Working knowledge of embedded systems (ARM MCUs, GPIO, communication protocols)
Familiarity with analog/digital electronics, power systems, and sensor interfaces
Basic programming experience in C/Python
Hands-on experience with PCB design and prototyping
Strong attention to detail and willingness to work in high-pressure, real-test environments
Proficiency with Circuit Design and Analysis Software
Exposure to telemetry, flight computers, or ground control systems
Preferred Skills
Interest in aerospace systems, real-time testing, and hardware design
Experience with Qt/PyQt dashboards or data logging systems
Familiarity with Linux-based systems and device-level debugging
Understanding of product development cycle
What You'll Gain
Practical experience working on high-stakes engineering systems
Exposure to both ground-based DAQ systems and in-flight avionics architectures
Experience in embedded systems design, aerospace integration, and testing
Certificate and Letter of Recommendation upon successful completion
Potential for full-time opportunity or extended role based on performance
