About Us
At Andurax, we’re building India’s first private re-entry vehicle designed to fly to space, carry experiments and payloads, and return them safely to Earth. We’re here to make space not just a destination, but a dependable, repeatable extension of Earth for industries that need it most. We believe the future of space isn’t just about going farther, it’s also about coming back safer. By building a platform that can fly frequently, recover gently, and serve a wide range of commercial and defence needs, we’re opening doors to a space-powered industrial future. As part of our growing team, you will gain direct experience working with systems that power real engines and flight platforms.
Role Overview
As a Fluid Dynamics Intern, you’ll work on the simulation, modeling, and analysis of internal and external fluid systems that affect the performance and reliability of both the propulsion system and spaceplane aerodynamics. You’ll support the design, optimization, and integration of components ranging from internal flow for propulsion systems to external flow for our flight platforms. This role is simulation-driven, offering direct exposure to hotfire campaigns, component-level flow tests, and wind tunnel experiments.
Responsibilities
Run CFD simulations for internal and external flows related to engine and vehicle systems
Assist in boundary condition setup, mesh generation, and solver configuration for various flow problems
Analyze flow separation, shock interactions, and thermal behavior under transient conditions
Collaborate with propulsion and structures teams to correlate simulation outputs with experimental data
Help develop reduced-order models or in-house tools for rapid fluid design iterations
Contribute to the preparation of test campaigns with focus on instrumentation and flow measurement correlation
Requirements
B.Tech / M.Tech in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related fields
Working knowledge of CFD tools like ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM etc
Strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics, compressible flow, and heat transfer
Familiarity with mesh generation tools and solver boundary conditions
Experience analyzing simulation outputs and visualizing flow fields
Willingness to work hands-on in test environments and correlate results with real data
Preferred Skills
Exposure to propulsion systems (liquid engines, nozzles, injectors)
Exposure to design and analysis of flight platforms
Experience with turbulence modeling, multiphase flow, or thermal analysis
Programming/scripting experience for automation (Python, MATLAB)
Familiarity with wind tunnel or hotfire test data post-processing
What You'll Gain
Experience in aerospace CFD and real-world validation workflows
Mentorship from experienced aerospace engineers and researchers
Certificate and Letter of Recommendation upon successful completion
Potential for full-time opportunity or extended role based on performance
